Collection: The Others
Les Zotres is a photographic series conceived as an immersion into the heart of the City of Forgotten Lights. Following the solo journey initiated in Mauvaizélève, this project, led by author photographer and visual artist Florian Sanna aka AbuzOne, opens up to the collective by exploring a place of relegation, a territory of exclusion where established society has chosen to confine those it cannot contain. This journey into the depths of a world neglected by the outside reinforces the notion of dictate while becoming a refuge for the most unbridled personalities in AbuzOne's universe.
Each image functions as a testament to this bastion of the fringe, once luminous and attractive, now abandoned to wandering souls. In this enclave where freedom rhymes with being left behind, only the most tenacious individuals manage to hold on. The staging celebrates these trajectories of resistance where self-expression becomes a daily struggle against oblivion. Faced with programmed erasure, these silhouettes and faces assert their singular eccentricity.
As with all of AbuzOne's work, every set, prop, and archival document is handcrafted — no element is generated by artificial intelligence. Photography intervenes as the final act that seals the staging and confers upon it the status of historical evidence.
